Weekend with the Catsitter

The result of our weekend with the "auntie" Donna.

This weekend we had a catsitter when mommy and daddy went away. Her name was Donna and she was truly, in Casey's words, "a little old lady". But she was the pawesomest little old lady around!!

"Auntie" Donna came to visit us twice a day, coz mommy wanted to make sure I got my meds (which really, I'd rather do without). She did the usual feeding and watering us, as well as cleaning our litter boxes. I supervised her in all this, but especially in cleaning the litter box. To ensure 100% quality control, I tried *each* of those kitty litter boxes out as part of my thorough inspections. Very clean!!

Auntie Donna played with us lots and she made us catnip play boxes for each of us!

Donny, being the shy guy that he always is (but would never admit), kept his distance from the catsitter at first...until he realized that she had catnip - and then Donny was a shy guy with her no more!

Auntie Donna also gave us a pretty card and wrote a long letter to mommy and daddy, saying so many good things about me and Donny! We were so pleased!

This was the card. Amazingly, it matched a framed picture in their dining room!

Here is the letter where auntie Donna wrote so many good things about me and Donny!

Casey refused to see her until her very last visit, and only then to be brushed. She was haughty all weekend and very upset that mommy and daddy were not around. But between you and me....*whispers*...I think she was unhappy coz auntie Donna didn't have any compliments for her!!

Anyways, mommy and daddy are home now...and while auntie Donna was lots of fun...there's nothing so comforting as having mommy and daddy back again.

Happy Monday, everykitty!

Hi Marie--
Wow, that's a totally different story from what Casey told. Momma said something about "Rashomon" (?)

It's too bad that your mom and dad were out of town, but it sounds like the sitter was nice enough. She did bring boxes, so she can't be all bad.

Auntie Donna sounds very very nice! She brought you toys and made you special catnip boxes! WOWIE! And she wrote a good report card for you, too.

My Mommie uses a special pill cutter to cut up Pixie's pills because many of them are very hard to cut.

Wow ... It's good that your fambly finally came back or else there might have been a mutiny. I like the catnip play box. We have some PRIMO 'nip in a glass jar (that Skeeter and LC gave us) that we've been trying to get Mom to let us have. Perhaps she'll make US a catnip play box?? Mooommmm ...

Gosh that sounds like a cool weekend! I'm not sure I'd have liked a Sitter though as they wouldn't be Mummy or Dad, you're a very brave girl for being so good! :) But then again I've always known you were special!
