Photo Hunters: Two

This week's theme for Photo Hunters Saturday was so easy for us. Donny and I are naturally TWO of a kind, and we love to hang out with each other so much, the REAL challenge for the Photo Hunt was to decide which photo to choose for this theme!!

In the end, we chose this one, at six months of age:

Happy Saturday, kitties!

Thursday 13: 13 Things about our Not-of-My-Species-Special (NOMSS) Furriends

[Marie:]

I found my NOMSS Furriend...it is Titus also!! He is special to Mickey and to Dragonheart. And Titus is also special to me too. So I have listed a few things I found special about him as part of Thursday 13:

1. Titus and I....we are Whitesters!

2. He was the first woofie that was so furriendly to me, that I didn't feel the need to be "The Defender" around him and be all mean and hissy and stuff. He didn't make me feel threatened; instead he made me feel comfortable when I was new in the blogosphere.

3. He is the first woofie I know who lives very peacefully with cats. I learned from him that dogs and cats could co-exist in harmony.

4. He is big and strong and makes me feel safe, so that I don't feel like I hafta be "The Defender" all da time.

5. He posts White Wednesday sometimes, and I do too!

6. He has pink nosies and pink toesies, just like me!

7. He likes sleeping in mommy's and daddy's bed....me too!

Now over to you, Donny....

[Donny:]

It's probably no surprise that HE is my NOMSS furriend:

That's right, Mr. Pigeon! To complete the Thursday 13 list, here are 6 reasons why he is my NOMSS furriend:

8. We have gurreat conversations...I just know it! I chatter to him all da time, and I am sure he coos back to me in reply.

9. He visited me every morning during June and July. Where is he now? Oh, I think he's been on vacation....

10. I wait patiently every morning for his daily visit, which he never failed to do....at least for June and July....

11. Sometimes he brings a couple of his pigeon furriends to visit too! I always like to meet new birdies! *drool*

12. He pays attention to me coz he always looks me in da eye in our conversations, like he's really listening to me!

13. Best of all, he treats me as a true furriend. After being gone most of July and August, he came back yesterday afternoon JUST to visit me! I love my feather-y furriend...*lips smacking...*

And these are our Not-of-My-Species-Special Furriends! Thank you Karl for the fun dare! It was gurreat to get to know other species...esp feather-y ones....

On another note, thank you for da bday wishes! We are so grateful for da furriends we have on da kitty blogosphere, and for y'all to be stopping by to wish us a happy bday!!

Happy Thursday, kitties!

White Wednesday: We're Two Today!!!

Today is me and Donny's birthday, and we are two years old now!

We looked back through da pictures and realized that some things have changed:

The morning after we came home as 3 month old kittens - Nov 16, 2005

Hanging out in the window, almost two years old! - July 24, 2007
PS. Biggify this, then you can see how grown up we really are!!

And some things....well, they just never change:

Wrestling for the bathtub - March 7, 2006

Wrestling for da pink scarf - July 18, 2007

But we are always happy with a big sis like Casey and a furever home in which mommy and daddy loves us and kitty furriends like you!

Happy Wednesday, kitties!

PS. Mommy says sorry that she keeps linking her blog to OUR post link-ys on da cat blogosphere. She said that da Mr. Linky program keeps automatically filling the URL link with HER blog. We think she just can't stand that more kitties read us than beans are reading her bloggie. Hehe!

PSS. Thank you Adan for the wonderful birthday card! We really like it!!

Twosome Tuesday: Mirror Kitties

Is it a kitty in da mirror or two kitties? You decide!!

Anyways, in da meantime, we both got tagged for da Middle Name Meme. What fun! Here are the rules:

1. Post the rules before you give the facts.
2. List one fact that is somehow relevant to you and your life for each letter of your middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had.
3. When you are tagged you need to write your post using your middle name and facts about it.
4. At the end of your post, choose one cat to tag for each letter of your middle name. Be sure to let each cat know she/he has been tagged. (It's ok if you don't do this...tag who you want to tag!)

[Donny:]

I was tagged by my sensei, Mickey. Technically, my name is Donny, King of the Tummy Rubs. As you can see there's a lot of middle names to choose from. I decided on "Tummy" since I lovelovelove to expose my tummy to da cool air, to mommy's scritchies, to daddy's view. Hehe!

T - Teasing. I always love to tease my sisters.

U - Uniform. I am 100% white all over, ever since I was a kitten. I didn't even have any funny-coloured hairs the way Marie did when she was a kitten (and which have since disappeared.)

M - Mommy. I am 100% Mommy's boy. I live for Mommy's attention; that is, when I'm not wanting to go outside or distracted by feather toys or food.

M - Mature. Compared to Marie (who is always about play!play!play!), I am very mature. Calm. Observant. You see, I want to be like my sensei, Mickey. I look up to him.

Y - Yang. Being male, I am naturally of a Yang nature. I am like the sunlight of day - strong, forward, manly.

[Marie:]

I was tagged by Mickey too, and also my lil sis Lucy-furr (via our big bro Ben Fuzz). My middle name is Defender, so that is what I chose:

D - Dainty. I walk daintily, stand daintily, sit daintily. The only time when I'm not is when I am eating, MOL!!

E - Elegant. Whatever I do, it always has to look classy. Even when I'm totally 'nipped out.

F - Fearless. I have boundless courage, even to chase dogs several times my size to defend my home. I am the smallest, yet I'm the one to stand my ground when there's a threat.

E - Easy-going. When it comes to furriends and family, I'm very easy-going. I let mommy pick me up, even tho I hate it; I let Casey tell me when it's ok for me to cuddle with her; I let Donny revel in his delusion that he's running da show at home....

N - Natural. I like to live in da buff, and do as I please. What's more natural than that??

D - Daring. I will do anything! Even defy mommy and daddy if I have too!

E - Excellent. 'Nuff said.

R - Rambunctious. I tear around the house, chase down my toys, give back as much as I get in my wrestling. I hiss and growl and one of these days...hear me roar!!!

Wow, so many letters, so many kitties to tag...and so, we will tag any kitty who reads this and hasn't done it yet. Try it - it's fun!!

Happy Tuesday, kitties!

Mancat Monday: Being Fierce

Just coz Marie is nicknamed "The Defender" for her fiesty defence of house and home, this does not mean I am a wuss. In fact, I practice (play)fighting with my sisters regularly to keep in tip-top shape. I also practice being fierce with my cat toys, such as this pawesome catnip mouse from Kashim and Othello. And this makes me a manly mancat.

Thank you guys for the "thank you" gift!

Happy Monday, kitties!

Weekend Cat Blogging: Sunday Surprise

We received a package a couple of days ago, but mommy didn't bring it out until today. What was in the package? Who sent it to us? Why???

We found inside the package we found some catnip mice...one for each of us. Pawesome!

We also found a couple of fun balls to play with (we accidentally dropped da reddie catnip mousie in da picture, oopsie!)

We also found a letter inside the package. Since Donny and Casey weren't around, I took the liberty of finding out who sent these to us.

Oh!!! It's Kashim and Othello who sent us these wonderful gifts as a thank you for participating in their recent contest. But....we really thank YOU guys: both for the wonderful gifts, we enjoyed them all immensely; and also for running this contest for such a gurreat cause. You guys are wonderful and caring kitties!

On another note, we are very sad that Sundance has gone to the Bridge. Although we knew him but for the briefest of moments, our memories of him will last with us furever. We are purring for his family during this difficult time, esp as they are so kind as to continue hosting Weekend Cat Blogging this weekend. Pls visit What Did You Eat? and leave them a comforting comment; and if you are a kitty blogger pls consider joining the WCB this weekend in honour of our ginger furriend.

Happy Sunday, kitties!

Saturday Photo Hunters: Row

For this week's Photo Hunters theme of "something in a row", we knew just the thing:

Thursday 13: What Mommy and Daddy did on their vacation

They're home! They're home!

Mommy and Daddy came home this morning!! We were so pleased, we were supervising them, making sure they were in fact unloading their luggage and STAYING home with us.

After asking for many, many scritchies and hugs, we asked mommy and daddy what they did on their vacation. And for this week's Thursday Thirteen, here are 13 interesting things that they did on their vacation:

1. They went to another city called Vancouver - it's in British Columbia, Canada.

2. They went to the beaches in Vancouver.

3. They went for dim sum with mommy's family.

4. They had dinner with mommy's cousin. It was sushi.

5. They went to Mayne Island to meet up with daddy's gma.

6. They visited with an old furriend that they had not seen for over 5 years.

7. They met this old furriend's wife for the first time.

8. They went to Sidney on Vancouver Island.

9. They went to Salt Spring Island, right next to Mayne Island.

10. It was mommy's first time to Salt Spring Island.

11. They visited with an old family furriend in Vancouver.

12. They had dinner with daddy's uncle and auntie who came in from Squamish.

13. They went to Steveston and had the best fish and chips from Pajo's.

Mommy was in gurreat health, so everyone had a gurreat time. Mommy and daddy said it was lots of fun on their vacation, but they were glad to be home and glad to see us 3 cats again.

Happy, happy Thursday, kitties!

Wishful Wednesday

We're looking out da window, watching for mommy and daddy. We're very sad that daddy and mommy up and left us. We knew something was gonna happen when all those suitcases came out of da basement yesterday.

Mommy and daddy came and gave us all scritchies before they left. They told us to be good boys and girls, and they were going away for only two weeks. We don't know exactly what that means, except that it's more than one sleep. And anything more than one sleep, we don't like. We feel lonely. And we gonna miss y'all.

Wanna come over and party with us? Then we won't miss you!! :D

PS. mommy and daddy said that we would have an "uncle" and "auntie" to come over and look after us and play with us (but not da cat-sitter we had last time - phooey!). They came over for dinner last Sunday...they seemed ok, but not da same when mommy and daddy not there.
