Mancat Monday: In Orbit

So here I am, a weightless kitty on the International Space Station now, helping the astronauts make more room there. I was going to hitch a ride on the Space Shuttle Discovery, but I was too busy play-fighting with Marie and missed the take-off....bummer.

Let it be a lesson to all those with lil siblings...don't let them distract you from your goal!

Anyways, I took out my very own secret space shuttle and blasted off towards the ISS, so that I can join in the space adventure!


The ride was smooth and very pretty...as you can see, I was exhausted. I kept trying to chase all those lights...but I was overwhelmed with the sheer number of stars...I just couldn't keep up! It's better just to relax and enjoy....

Well...I'm gonna stick 'round these parts until Nov 4, when the Discovery is scheduled to head back to Earth. Then me and my secret space shuttle will hitch a ride with them home!

Sunday: Purraying for Miss Peach

I was nominated by the lovely Storm to do the Cherish meme, which Adan created to bring the love of all da kitty bloggers to the gentle Miss Peach! As Adan said: "She always makes us know what love is!" Well said, Adan!

So here are the rules of the Cherish meme:

I like to jump on the bed and softly mew for mommy. I will walk slowly towards her with my big blue eyes on her. When she stretches out her hand to pet me, I push my head against her fingers and then walk by them, making she strokes my entire side of soft white fur from tip to tail. Then I like to walk up on her chest and lie there, watching her watching me.

[Donny:]

I like it best when she is sitting at the computer. I will enter the study and start crying real loud. I like to walk towards her with confidence, yet with the most appealing eyes. I will keep crying, even as I approach her and sit at her feet, hoping she will notice me. Then I like to reach up on my hind legs and go tap, tap, tap on her back or her arm (coz believe me, I can really reach that far). She'll then turn around with a smile and her hand outstretched. I will usually meet her halfway by getting on my hind legs again to do a little "hop" to make sure she scritches my chin, my back, my tail.

For this special meme, we want to nominate anycat really, so that everycat can show their love to Miss Peach, but in particular we wish to nominate:

Hoooray!! I love this week's theme of pink! Here is one of mommy's absolutely most favourite photos of me, the day after I was adopted. I was only 3 months old back then!

I just love pink!! It matches my pink earsies and nose-ie and pawsies...so beautiful!

Donny's Thursday 13: Why I Love This Picture

1. The most important reason: this picture of me was made by the very talented Maggy and Zoey and their mommy.

2. This picture looks like a timeless classic photograph. Of me!

3. It reminds me of today: it has the feel of the crisp, cold air of an autumn dawn.

4. I was always wanting a beautiful piece of art from Zoolatry...and now I have my very own!

5. For their photo, they picked me first over the more popular Marie. Thanks Maggy and Zoey, I love you both!!

6. They picked a picture that made me look real smart! I like that!

7. They made a few pictures of me!! I can't wait to show you the other ones!

8. I stand out mancatly in the picture.

9. All those "sticks" in the background remind me of my favourite and most fun toys: sticks with string and feathers on the end. Hooray!!

10. For weeks, I meant to send them a very handsome photo of myself, but mommy was always too busy. So the ladies at Zoolatry picked the best one for me, even before I asked. Thank you again!!

11. The picture makes me look omnipotent. Hehe!

12. Mommy loved the picture so much, she gave me a hug, many pets, and treats!!!! How gurreat is that!

So we've been on the lookout these days to make sure that mommy and daddy don't leave us again. We are extremely tired of them always taking off and leaving us with these other people we don't care about....unless those "intruders" have a feather toy attached to their arm. But we digress.

Mommy and daddy claim that they are all travelled out - no more travelling for the rest of this year. But all the same, we've got our eye on you, mommy and daddy!

PS. Did you see my celebrity namesake Marie faint last night on Dancing with the Stars??? We were so frightened of her! I kept watch the entire show *just* to make sure she was ok...and when I finally saw her standing with everyone else at the end of the show, so I was relieved.

I hope she'll be all right!

White Wednesday: Marie's Bizzy-for-Gizzy Quilt

I have been so excited!! All week is dedicated to our gizzy quilts, but it took such a long time and so many sleeps before I could show you my gizzy quilt!! Without further ado, here it is, with me modelling this pretty quilt!


As you can see, it is in several different shades of lavender with a few sprinkles of gold and peach in my quilt. The gold and lavender colours are very significant, as mommy had chosen these colours for their wedding just over 4 years ago!

I love my quilt very much, and there's nothing more I enjoy than to have it draped on my favourite armchair, so I can sleep on it!! Thank you, Millie's mommy - you make the bestest quilts!!

Twosome Tuesday and an Award

Casey is very sweet...she lets me share her quilt sometimes, on account of my blue eyes, which also match this beautiful quilt. Even if she has to walk away from it...which is almost every time. But I always respect her and give the quilt back to her....after I put my furz all over it, of course. ;)

Did you notice the Hello Kitty slippers in da corner of da picture?? Those are my mommy's favourite slippers, and not *just* because they're Hello Kitty either! But that's a story for another time....

Anyways, I also have more exciting news...Monty Q nominated me for an award! He is a sweet mancat (tho not as sweet as my handsome Ramses)!!

Mancat Monday: My Bizzy-for-Gizzy Quilt

We received our Bizzy-for-Gizzy quilts some time ago from our darling furriend Millie and her mommy. Finally, daddy got around to uploading our quilt pics...so we are dedicating this week to these fabulous quilts!!


So for this Mancat Monday, I am showing off my Bizzy-for-Gizzy quilt. It is in various shades of green, some quite bright and some looks almost as bright as a lime. I like it very much b/c it shows off my green eyes. Can you see? [Hint: biggify pic to see...thx to Lux for hint!]

For Meezer Monday, Casey is showing off her Gizzy quilt today too! Marie will present her quilt on White Wednesday.

An Early Saturday Photo Hunters: Smelly

Mommy and daddy are running away - yet AGAIN - to Banff to celebrate their 4th wedding anniversary, which happens to be today. So...I have posted our Photo Hunt early....


For this week's Photo Hunters theme of Smelly, I show you what I think of daddy's monitor:


Yep - smelly. So bad, my ears are back and flattened. And yet, so disgustedly curious, my nose is practically glued to the monitor, sniffing like crazy.

Why did I have to smell it? Um...heh heh...well, daddy says that when I had a bad cold and wasn't feeling well, I wanted daddy's attention. But he was at the computer. So naturally, to get his attention all for me, I climbed up on the desk between his seat (where my big sis siamese Casey is sitting) and his monitor.

And according to daddy, instead of getting his attention by being all cutesy and cuddly like I normally am...I sprayed his monitor. He wasn't sure which end was doing the spraying - and frankly, he didn't want to know. He just cleaned it immediately...and got away from his desk in a hurry.

Of course, I deny that this ever happened. It is, after all, beneath a delicate ladycat like me to spray!

PS. His monitor is fine now. And of course - so am I!!

Desktop Meme

We got tagged by Vincent and Mike, another bro-sis duo to do the desktop meme. We were hoping to be tagged for this one...and now that we are, we are sooooo excited! Here are the rules:

Upon receiving this tag, immediately perform a screen capture of your desktop. It is best that no icons be deleted before the screen capture so as to add to the element of fun. Here’s how you can do a screen capture:

1. Go to your desktop and press the Print Screen key (located to the right of the F12 key).

This is mommy's desktop. This is a picture of mommy and daddy while they were staying in the hospital about 1.5 years ago. Both of them had to stay coz mommy received a kidney transplant from daddy. As you can see, they were happy, but mommy was especially happy coz the kidney worked right away and made her feel a whole lot better immediately, despite the pain. Altho they say that morphine can make you really, REALLY happy too....

Anyways, we were super happy that we got tagged for this, it was so much fun! Thank you!

Thankful Tuesday

Ok, ok so Thanksgiving was actually yesterday. But we meditated all day yesterday on Thanksgiving Day, and came up with some reasons why we are thankful:

1. We are thankful to be in our furever home, with food and warmth and lots and lots of love.

2. We are thankful to have a big sis like Casey who teaches us all kinds of *very* interesting things!

3. We are thankful for furriends on the bloggysphere.

4. We are thankful for our gizzy quilts, which we hope to post pictures soon.

5. We are thankful that mommy and daddy are home!!!

Hope every Canadian kitty had a gurreat Thanksgiving yesterday!
