Brrrr! It's toooooooooo cold today! It was -49 deg C with the windchill this morning, so Donny and I made sure to curl up together and glue ourselves to mommy for warmth! Hehehe....

Anyways, a few days ago, Donny's sensei tagged us with the Nickname Meme. This is how it works:

How I got my Real Name: I was named after Donny Osmond, as I was adopted with my littermate sis Marie at the same time. I have been calling myself the Astrokitty ever since the fun adventure with Momo on the Space Shuttle Discovery Mission, and recorded so beautifully and faithfully by Maggie and Zoey of Zoolatry last October.

Nicknames I like: Donny-boy, Purr Machine, Handsome Boy.

Nicknames I don't like: Brat, meanie, the Whiner, Don-NEEEE!!

Real Name: Marie the Defender

How I got my Real Name: I was named after Marie Osmond, as I was adopted with my littermate bro Donny at the same time. I was called the Defender as I demonstrated my aggressive ability to fight for my house and home! First, I chased a visiting aunt and uncle's 8 month old puppy through the house...then I told off one of the visiting cats sitting just outside my window by a lot of growling and hissing. My mommy called me the Defender, and the name just stuck.

Nicknames I like: the Defender, sweetie-pie, little Miss Blue-Eyes

Nicknames I don't like: the Manipulator, Bad Girl.

So I tag my sweetheart Ramses. And Donny says that he wants to tag Zippy.

The 3 things *I* want to do:

1. Eat Mr. Pigeon and family for dinner! I just *love* birdies and they are always so sweet to come and visit us so frequently...I am sure they will taste *just* as sweet.....

2. Gorge myself on Temptations. My mommy is a real meanie when it comes to Temptations...she only lets us have 2-3 of them each a day. *She* says it coz she doesn't want us to get all fat and ignore our relatively tasteless but nutritious food...*I* think it's coz she wants all them Temptations ALL for herself...!

3. Cuddle more often with Casey. I am always trying to tell her that I love her and want her to treat me as if she were my big sis littermate. I show her by rubbing myself against her and making sure my tail gets in her face as often as possible so she doesn't forget me. So far, she just seems to get rather offended and runs away most of the time...!

My Mancat Monday is Dedicated to Caesar

Caesar was a good furriend of ours, he and his sister Princess always stopped by to say hello once in a while. We are very sad that he went to the Rainbow Bridge. We have been purring for Princess and all their family. Casey has been purring extra-hard for them - she knows what it was like to lose our big sis angel kitty Missy.

Therefore, we dedicate today to the memory of our furriend Caesar, a gurreat idea which started from Kavan.

Family Foto Friday and a Meme!

Donny and I finally convinced Casey to join us for a Family Foto Friday photo. We were so amazed that not only did she join us, but she didn't mind us all getting cozy with her on top of the cat condo. Now what could it be that made her okay with this??? The three things I would do are:

Jump out of the backyard and start roaming around. I know, I know, I'll never be allowed to, but a girl can dream, can't she??

Finally slither and sneak my way into every cupboard...but esp the treats cupboard. That way, I can pig out on every treat in sight!

Pick a fight with a large dog. I was *this* close to catching up with the puppy I was chasing down a couple of summers ago. If only mommy and daddy let me chase him a little further....!!

Thursday 13: the So Special Award

This is such a sweet Award, I want to award it...actually to everykitty in the Cat Blogosphere!! Everykitty is so special and wonderful; but since I am participating in Thursday 13 this week for the first time in many, many weeks, I am limited to choosing 13 kitties only , so I decided to pick some extra-special furriends and newer kitties that I have met recently, in no particular order:

Twosome Tuesday - the Welcome Home Edition

This is a very special Twosome Tuesday for us, because in our miracle of miracles, both were lost and now are found. We are so happy that Maobert and Annie are home, safe and sound with their families, and no worse for wear for their adventures. I just hope that they will talk about the adventures some day!

As a result of these recent mommy-worrying events, we thought we'd be proactive by helping our mommy avoid anxiety. We set up this purrfect system to prevent anykitty from quietly slipping away. It's called the "I C U, U C me" system:

Mancat Monday and the New Years Resolutions Meme

Maobert, I am so happy you are finally home! You must tell me ALL about your adventures out there! Annie, we are still thinking and purring hard for you! We hope you'll overcome your fears and be home soon!

My sensei, Mickey Mantle, tagged me for the New Year's Resolutions meme. I don't normally do any kind of resolutions for New Year's, b/c naturally I'm purrfect the way I am, and I'm the boss here at home...at least, I like to think so.....

But after much thought and reflection, I thought that I should emulate my sensei. I thought long and hard about what my New Year's Resolutions would be, and here they are in the meme:

Mancat and Missing Mommy Monday

Have you seen my mommy? She went missing this afternoon with the big bad blue box called luggage. Daddy says she had to go on a trip to earn us cat food and temptations and would come back in few sleeps. But he might as well have said a few squillion sleeps!

We are very sad over here, so we will keep a low profile and post again when mommy gets back and makes us feel all better again.
