The Landing of the Astro-Kitties

[Donny:]

It's been a long haul journey blasting off into space to join the astronauts on the STS-120 mission to the International Space Station. I've been chasing stars and helping the astronauts, inspecting joints and - with fellow Astro-Kitty Momo - we've been supervisin'....everything, everywhere.

We had a smooth landing on runway 33 at the Kennedy Space Center this afternoon, and we were very happy to feel ourselves on solid ground, looking out on the familiar green, green grass of "home".

And of course, our talented Zoolatry ladycats, Maggy and Zoey, were there to capture the magic of Discovery's landing!

On one side of the Discovery shuttle, Momo looked out to the horizon as we landed. Hmm....is she already planning our next space adventure??

On the other side of the Discovery space shuttle, here I am comfortably settled for the smooth landing. Marie and Casey were so kind as to look out for the space shuttle and for me!

Marie, Casey and myself were so exhausted after all the excitement of the landing and the partying afterwards, that we all settled down to sleep together on our mommy's and daddy's bed.

Congratulations to all of the astronauts on the STS-120 mission. It was gurreat to hang out with you all in space, doing important work on the International Space Station. Most importantly, it was great fun to hang out with a cool astro-kitty as Momo.

Happy Thursday!

Thanks Donny, fellow Astrokitty, for the excellent re-cap and report of our space mission. I look forward to further exploration with you. All round of applause to the fantastic Discovery space shuttle crew who has accomplished a very successful mission (with a little help from us :)).

Those are great pictures!! We watched your landing with much excitement yesterday, and even have a picture of it on our blog. What does it feel like to be weightless? Can a kitty eat a temptation while weightless?
