In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders Fields.Take up our quarrel with the foe:
- John McCrae
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders Fields.
We bow our heads in silence to remember those soldiers who have fought and are still fighting. It is the least we can do here on Remembrance Day.

We too give thanks to all the Veterans.
All gave some,some gave all.
Thank you for this wonderful Remembrance Day post. My humans and I are praying for and honouring all those who served and who continue to serve.
What a beautiful photo My Sweety, you're such a sweet and sensitive girly cat... After a quiet and thoughtful morning here, we're dealing with a sulky Tigmut'hep and watching work in the garden...
Please come to my party next week when My Mummy's out with the family again! :)
Very nice post! We are all remembering...
