This is Mommy (and daddy is with her), and we are doing her Thursday Thirteen this week:
1. [Donny:] She is very, very, VERY tall. Like six feet. It is strange to see a very tall female.
2. [Casey:] She is also Chinese. It is very strange to see a six foot tall Chinese female.
3. [Marie:] She is the one who feeds us. Therefore, we like her *very* much.
4. [Donny:] She likes to carry us kitties Me, I'm getting used to it. Marie hates it and Casey craves it.
5. [Casey:] She had a kidney disease, which destroyed her kidneys.
6. [Marie:] She was on dialysis for two weeks because she couldn't wait for the transplant operation. She had to go to ER for a temporary dialysis line. We were scared.
7. [Donny:] Her transplant operation was just over 13 months ago. Daddy was the donor. (The picture above is mommy and daddy a few days after the operations.)
8. [Casey:] She works full-time now, so we don't get to see her as much as we think we should....which is 100% of the time.
9. [Marie:] She was a ballroom dancer. Now she just watches the dance shows.
10. [Donny:] She doesn't really know how to cook. Sometimes she gets lucky with dinner.
11. [Casey:] She became a cat lover only after she met daddy. She was (still is) a dog lover.
12. [Marie:] She has extensive conversations with us all the time.
13 .[Donny:] She caters to our every need. We are still working on her to let us go outside whenever we want....
Ah! So much hard work doin' this, it's time for a nap:
Happy Thursday everykitty....it's almost the weekend!

My aunt is a Chinese, too.
So, seeing her pictures feels very warm~~
Wow, what a great Mommy you have! I sure am glad she is all better from being sick now. When I first saw the hospital picture, I got a little scairt. Then I read about the happy ending. How wonderful that your Daddy was able to donate his kidney to her.
My Mommie is not a good cook, either.
What a love story! Your Mommy and Daddy sound wonderful. Give them some smoochies for me!
Purrs!
Wow! What a story. I have a titanium rod in my leg, but a kidney transplant -- whoa -- that's a big deal. Makes the rest of us realize how lucky we are. But it is SO COOL that your daddy could donate a kidney to your Mom. That is AWESOME!
Thanks for the story.
Oh, you have such a wonderful Mommy and Dad. So glad she is doing well and so nice that he was able to help her. You look so comfy on the couch.

Hi Marie! I added an explanation as to how I found the search terms, since a lot of cats were asking about it!

Wow, she was so lucky to get a new kidney, we are so happy for her. One of our best friends had to wait for two years and eventually got one from her older brother (his wife vetoed it initially). She is so much better now just like your mom.
You guys have a booteefull Mommie (and handsome Daddy). I can see why you love her so much. She is a furry good Mommie to all of you.
Abby
Oh I am sorry to hear you human has been so poorly. I am glad she is now a cat worshipper, however, and is not on the dark side any longer ( dogs! yuck!).
p.s so you think the little boy is the doctor? I thought he was psychic and the dr put a perception filter on the watch but the boy is too clever so he can hear the dr's thoughts?? I dunno - I won't spoil it for you when it is on on Saturday but I might leave you a comment and tell you how awesome it is!!
You have a great mommy! We liked the picture of you snuggling with her. We're very glad her kid knees are doing better.
You have wonderful parents..
What a beautiful story. Your Daddy's donation was wonderful and I am glad your Mommy's transplant and operation went well. What a happy and touching story..
You are lucky to have such beautiful parents...
Happy TT'ing
Mine is up too..
Ah Marie,
I'm so glad to see a picture of your mom after knowing her for so long! And ... your dad! The hero who gave her a kidney! What a great Thursday 13 for me!
Your mom is 6 feet tall????? I always pictured her as a dainty little thing!
And she was a ballroom dancer? I didn't know that!
I might have to let our friends in the PWKC know about this post!
Love--Mick
How wonderful that your Dad was a compatible donor match for your Mom! We're glad she's OK.
Gosh Marie, you sure have a nice Mom and Dad, both look so nice and happy together. Mom really liked the picture, she said now she knows who she was talking to on the PP&P the other night. So glad your Dad could help your Mom out with a kidney. So thankful there was a great ending to her story.

Wow your Mommy's a real trouper (and your Daddy too)! Thanks for sharing this information. It was very inspirational.
Also, we couldn't open your blog yesterday (it was the only one that didn't want to open). It opened just fine today so maybe it was just one of those things, but we thought we'd let you know in case others are having the same problem.
what a story! it makes an excellent thursday 13!
kidney problems--human or feline--are scary things. i'm glad your mommy has good health now.
